Orchard Lea

This is an old photo of Orchard Lea, the cottage where Frank Bates lived and which burned down in the 1930s.  (Orchard Lea was next door to Whitegate, opposite the church).

It was replaced by a prefab-type bungalow; which itself was then replaced, by a far larger, modern house).
