Staple parish, although fairly small, has many clubs, societies, organisations and interest groups; including Staple Youth Club, Staple Pre-School, Staple Parent & Toddlers, Staple Short Mat Bowls Club, Staple Woodland Trust, Staple PCC, Staple branch RBL, Staple Country Fayre Committee, Staple Village Hall Committee, Staple in Bloom, Staple Pipe Dreamers and Staple Trailblazers, All of whom hold their meetings in Staple.
Staple doesn't have a conventional rural village layout, with a central post office and a village pond, surrounded by a cluster of shops and cottages. In fact, geographically; it doesn't have a centre at all. At one end of the village there's a Church, and at the other end there's a vineyard. Somewhere between the two there's a garden centre, a village hall and a pub. But despite the widely spaced clusters of dwellings; there's a good sense of community. Something which ironically was strengthened during the Covid-19 'lockdown'.
Each year, Staple has a massive Country Fayre, which brings together the entire parish. There's also an Annual Dog Show, Open Garden events, fetes, tea parties, coffee mornings and regular quizzes.
